Fall Target Clothing Haul Review
Target is one of my favorite places to find affordable clothing gems. I tried my first pair of Target jeans from Universal Thread last year because I had surgery. I needed something affordable to get me through the bloating. They were so comfortable!
That’s why I decided to do a Target Fall clothing try on haul. It’s 2020, so why not! I put together a fall wardrobe from Target featuring Target’s latest trends for 2020. Some pieces were great, others made me look like an Oompa Loompa!

High-Rise Zip-Front Corduroy Mini Skirt - Wild Fable

I adore this mini skirt. It’s not too mini and looks great with tall boots. The colors are the perfect plaid for fall. The browns are super easy to match with just about any brown.
Fit:
I sized down from my typical size 4 to a size 2. The fabric is really stretchy so it worked out perfectly.
I’m curvy, and was surprised it fit as well as it did. I have a really hard time wearing pencil skirts, but this was great.
Feel:
It’s a comfortable corduroy. It wasn’t scratchy but also wasn’t super soft. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it.
Long Sleeve Turtleneck Cozy T-Shirt - A Brand New Day
Size Purchased: XSmall
I have mixed feelings about this long sleeve turtleneck. On one hand, it’s really soft and a great orange color for fall. On the other hand, it’s really thin making it not warm enough for fall weather.
Fit:
I really like that it’s tighter fit. This makes it a perfect shirt to tuck into high waisted pants and skirts.
I liked the XSmall on me. It was form fitting but not tight.
Feel:
The fabric is very thin. I was surprised it wasn’t see-through
It’s soft and I liked the way it felt on my skin, however, it wasn’t warm
Button-Front Cardigan - Wild Fable

As soon as I saw this, I knew it was going home with me! The cabling is adorable. It’s the perfect layering piece for fall.
Fit:
I love how short it is! I’m only 5’3” and often times cardigans are far too long for me. This hit in the perfect spot.
It fit across the shoulders and the sleeve length was perfect.
Feel:
It feels like polyester - but it isn’t scratchy.
It’s soft enough and warm enough to be worth the price.
Crewneck Pullover Sweater - Universal Thread
Size Purchased: XLarge
I went for an oversized look and sized up 4 sizes. The drape of the knit keeps the sweater from swallowing my tiny body up. The orange color is so perfect for fall! I have trees this color in my backyard right now.
Fit:
I love oversized sweater - especially when I’m working from home.
This was large and super comfy.
Feel:
The fabrics is soft and it drapes really nicely.
It isn’t scratchy and it plenty warm.
Puff Long Sleeve Blouse - Universal Thread
Size Purchased: XSmall
I love love love puff sleeves but I feel like this shirt isn’t doing me any favors. It’s cut fairly boxy, with a really stiff fabric so makes me look huge. The plaid pattern, however, is a really great plaid.
Fit:
I think it fit as well as it could given the style of the piece.
I like the size of the puff sleeves. They’re large enough to be interesting but don’t take over.
Feel:
The fabric is very heavy and stiff. This is great because it’s warm but it also means the garment hangs very straight.
High-Rise Skinny Ankle Jeans - Universal Thread
Size Purchased: 27 Regular
These polka dots are amazing! They are adorable and add cuteness to any outfit. I’m looking forward to wearing these all winter to bring a little joy to my wardrobe.
Fit:
I really love the fit of target jeans. These fit me really well.
I bought my regular size.
The only downside was they are a hair long.
Feel:
Target’s jean fabric is always just stretchy enough to be comfortable but not so stretchy they aren’t flattering.
I could wear these all day, every day
High-Rise Corduroy Skinny Jeans - Universal Thread
Size Purchased: 27 Regular
I adored the wine color of these pants and really wished they fit better! The fabric is less stretchy than targets other pants which meant that I ended up with waistband gap.
Fit:
These gave me terrible waistband gap! I was shocked because they are labeled the same size and cut as the polka dotted jeans.
The length was perfect, which again was shocking because the polka dotted jeans were too long.
Feel:
It’s a solid corduroy - not scratchy but also not super soft
Sleeveless Dress - Who What Wear
Size Purchased: Small
I’ve started calling this my denim bag dress. If your aim in life is to always look like your wearing a bag, this is perfect for you. I will say it’s super comfortable. I put it on to try it out and didn’t want to take it back off.
Fit:
The fabric is incredibly stiff and the cut is very wide. This means it hangs exactly how it’s cut.
It’s huge on me
Feel:
The large, relaxed fit means it’s a very comfortable dress
You definitely don’t have to worry about your covid-19 when wearing this
